About DATTELBÄR

History - how it all began

The story of DATTELBÄR is as extraordinary as the brand itself. It began in 2014, when Dominik discovered the world of raw food during a long trip to Thailand, where he was doing yoga training. Through an Australian blogger who was intensively involved in raw food nutrition, Dominik learned about the Sukkary date on a raw food forum - a date that immediately fascinated him. Although they were difficult to obtain at the time, these special dates eventually reached him via France, and he was delighted by their taste.

The legendary moment

His social media post "My purchase today", which showed a table full of fresh raw vegetables and a large box of dates in the background, quickly led to inquiries from friends and acquaintances who were also impressed by the quality of the dates. Dominik then began to organize orders for those around him, and his trunk became a mobile date collection station in Vienna. One day a customer jokingly called out to him: "The DATE BEAR is back!" - and the nickname was born.

The Encounter with Gottfried

In 2015, after a silent retreat and inspired by the book "The 4-Hour Workweek", Dominik decided to turn his passion for dates into a real business. He built a small webshop and was soon joined by his current business partner Gottfried, whom he met at a keynote speech. They both shared not only a love of dates, but also a vision of making the best dates in the world accessible to a wider audience.

Since then, the company has grown steadily and, in addition to various types of dates, also offers innovative products such as sprouted muesli, CBD dates and high-quality nut butters. Dominik and Gottfried always remain open to new ideas and partnerships in order to continue DATTELBÄR's vision: healthy, sustainable products that inspire people to live a conscious and happy life.

My vision of leaving a lasting mark on this wonderful planet is my daily mission. Strengthened and focused by my morning ritual, I persistently realize my dreams and am deeply grateful for what is.

Dominik

Self-determined as a person, DATTELBÄR, master gardener, farmer, permaculture designer, hotelier, yoga and meditation teacher, Wim Hof ​​instructor, visionary, artist and lecturer. Living in the middle of the beautiful hills of the Bucklige Welt in southern Lower Austria. During my apprenticeship I quickly realized that I was not compatible with a boss-employee relationship and set off on my first trip at the age of 19... many more trips followed. I started my life as an entrepreneur by founding my first company (horticulture) at the age of 24. A few years later I expanded the company portfolio by founding DATTELBÄR and acquiring a beautiful hotel & retreat center directly on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
